I LARP. I Like it. Shut up.
There are two sentences I hear a lot about LARP.
„It's fucking childish." or „You need to grow up and be an adult."
For starters: I'm a realist. I know most people are close-minded, stupid and bitter, fixed on common notion of „normality." They just don't know better, in most cases it's not their fault and I don't think It'll ever get better.
People are tolerant these days – but not because they understand the specific problem. They are tolerant of some things, because they're told to be tolerant to these things, not because of a result of their own critical thinking.
But I sort of feel an urge to speak about why I do what I do, and why the sentences above are deeply wrong.
It's not the internet trolling, what bothers me, I write this mostly because I'm getting married after three awesome years of relationship, and yet some people close to me think I'm not mature enough for this just because I'm a larper.
(I hope my english is good enough to make my point.)
Fantasies are simply not onl

Crafting is the solidification of an immortal idea into the mortal world.
The art of crafting is the art of nourishing an idea, to keep it warm, protecting it from harm and finally teaching it to stand on its own.
I am just finished with two "Just because i can"-projects. Sometimes it feels good just to let all other stuff lie, and just make something else.

Coming up i a large larp project, which will no doubt test both crafting skills as well as leadership and logistic skills.
It will be a new group, but it will reuse a bit of the background from an old group. The aim is to become around thirty soldiers, both men and women, well drilled and trained to the task. It's gonna be very fun. =)

That will probably include making a new uniform coat, a new scabbard (or a new sword), some adjustments on armour and padding, and possibly a new shield or ten.

I would also like to try some shoemaking, but I lack good litterature, or a good teacher.

It's at least not going to be a boring winter. =)

Hey! Just stopping by to thank you for adding Me to your watchlist! I've got more stuff now, in case you missed it.

I'll check-out what you've made since my last visit, since I'm here. Keep up the good work!

At the moment I am working on a very simple coat-of-arms, for a larp this summer. I have also just started on a new belt bag, "to rule them all". =)
