Medieval toxic gas soldier by Noctiped Medieval toxic gas soldier by Noctiped
A costume made by me for larp. The mask is functional, with active carbon filter and valves keeping the air flowing in the right direction, but is not perfectly fitted, as a little smoke leaks in at the face connection.

The character has ben working with chemical warfare(actively using toxic smoke and fluids) for about a year, and is suffering from increasing illness from long-term poisoning.
Life can be short when you fight for your country.

The world we larp in is generally medieval, but with a few steampunk details, like steam engines, airships and poison gas warfare.

I've inspired a few people to crafting, but this is the first time I've inspired someone to painting. :happybounce:
Thank you a lot for sharing. =)

Your welcome I did an ink wash to try and get the smoke effect right. I was really happy with how it turned out and thanks for sharing you pic.

Cool. I had a similar idea once, but never got around creating it. To see it made real gives me inspiration again.

Glad to hear it inspires. =)

From the beginning I were quite sceptical to this idea, as it felt like it could only deny other players
ground temporarily, but it turned out to work better that anticipated due to one factor; Wind. =)

Never attack with the wind in your face...
